Who builds this

YouTube Translate is developed and published by Yaysoft LTD, which trades as Yay Apps. We are an independent mobile software company; this app is our own product, not a white-label of someone else's service. You can reach us at yayappsltd@gmail.com — that address is read by the people who build the app, not by an outsourced help desk.

One product, several names

The same app appears under different names depending on where you find it, because app stores restrict the use of third-party trademarks in app titles. All of the following refer to one product from one company:

What the app actually does

You give it a public YouTube link and it gives you the words back as text. If the video already has captions — auto-generated by YouTube or uploaded by the creator — the app reads that track directly. If it has none, the app can transcribe the audio itself using Google's Gemini model. From the resulting transcript you can translate into more than 134 languages, generate a summary in three depths and two formats, or build flashcards and a quiz for studying. Transcripts export to PDF. The app's own interface is localized into 30 languages.

What is free and what is not

Extracting subtitles and transcripts from any public video that already has YouTube captions is free and unlimited, with no account and no card. There is no daily allowance to run out of on that path. A Premium subscription covers the work that runs an AI model: transcribing videos that have no captions, translating, summarising, and generating flashcards or quizzes. We publish this split plainly because it is the question people actually ask, and because a vague answer helps nobody.

Limits we will state openly

Ratings and reviews

We do not publish star ratings on this website. Ratings belong on the App Store and Google Play listings, where they are verified by the platform and cannot be edited by us. Any rating you see for this app should come from one of those two places.

Content published on this site

Some AI-generated video summaries are published publicly on this site, in the language they were generated in. These are summaries written from a video's transcript — we do not republish the transcripts themselves. If a summary of your video is published here and you would prefer it were not, use the opt-out form; if you have a copyright concern, email yayappsltd@gmail.com.
